My husband and I have some friends who live in Chicago. They absolutely love it up there. They love that there are recognizable seasons, there is so much to do, the skyline is beautiful and they both have great jobs. Sometimes I wish I lived there for all of those reasons and of course, to be closer to them. We’ve been friends since before they were married. I actually remember before they even started dating I was his biggest advocate. I told his wife that he deserved a chance and she should give it to him. He was a great guy and he was worth it. Of course, she followed my advice and several months later we were in a Chicago limo rental at a bachelorette party.
I was so glad they were going to get married. They were perfect for each other and I couldn’t wait to spend more time with both of them. She was a great friend of mine and he was a great friend of my husband’s. A couple months later I saw that same Chicago limo rental, but this time I wasn’t in it. They were driving away as a married couple. To this day they are some of our greatest friends. Let’s just hope we have the money and find the time to go out there and be with some of our best friends.
